Pinterest Project - Day 20 {Eerie Eyes Feather Wreath}

I'm going to pretend like it didn't hit 94 super hot, humid degrees today.
We are so ready for fall here that I'll just decorate and act like none of it will melt in the sun.
I've kind of gotten lucky this year - Con-Man's birthday is in October and he's decided on a costume party!
So that means I can go ahead and decorate for Halloween and not feel guilty that it competes with his birthday decorations.  Woo hoo!  Less guilt!
My Holiday Stuff board is getting full of great Halloween crafts, decor and food, as well as things for other holidays.
I'm really excited to start marking some of these items off of my "To Make" list.

Today I made the Eerie Eyes Feather Wreath from Better Homes and Gardens.

This is their version:
Their directions tell you to use a 12in half-round foam wreath, feather boa, paint,
and foam balls attached with wire.

I cheated a bit. :)
Here is my version:

Materials Used:
Pool Noodle
Tape (to secure noodle)
Feather Boas (I needed 5 from the Halloween Section at Hobby Lobby)
Foam Balls
Permanent markers
Hot Glue and Glue Gun
Ribbon to hang

I just connected the ends of the pool noodle and secured with tape.
Put a dab of hot glue on the noodle and attach one end of boa.
Wrap around noodle and secure with more glue.
Repeat until entire thing is covered.
Draw on foam balls to make different sets of eyes.
Hot glue in place on wreath.
Hang with ribbon!

When the kids came home from school today they were so excited!  I love having something a little spooky and a lot of fun to kick off our fall decor!

That is the coolest Halloween wreath I've ever seen! I love this! I might have to make one for our front door, I'm sick of the ones I already have. I would love it if you'd stop by my blog to say hi! Today I'm featuring an Autumn leaf craft that's fun for toddlers and big kids alike! You can also check out our Halloween Book Basket. Hope you're having an awesome day!
