I found it on Filth Wizardly through Pinterest (of course!).
This little activity is pinned in my Stuff For The Kids board!
Lindsey at Filth Wizardly had some great tips for making your village -
like taping two markers to a bottle so you can keep your roads an even width.
Her village came out so cute - I LOVE to see how the kids colored it, too. Very sweet!
I need to find the road sign stickers she used. Very fun!
Shower Curtain Village Play Mat
Materials Needed:
Shower curtain liner - $1 most places
Tape
Permanent marker
Crayons or markers to color with
Stickers or other embellishments
You really don't need much in the way of instructions for this project.
Just tape down shower curtain liner in large open area and start drawing your roads, buildings, trees, etc with a permanent marker! Add stickers and such as you see fit and then let the kids color. Give them a few toy cars and let them go!
Here's my BEFORE:
And here's my AFTER:
As you can see, you DON'T need to be able to draw well for this to work. :)
Monkey Man is thrilled and is trying his best to wait until big brothers come home before he starts coloring.
I think I've left enough space to add some more things too - maybe a zoo or a roller coaster or something fun!
